Permanent Cosmetic Makeup...Ancient as Time, Modern as Tomorrow.

Commonly asked questions:
What if I want to change my makeup?

We work with your natural features to enhance them to their fullest.  This
natural look allows you to apply normal cosmetics over your "Permament
Makeup" for color variety.  Therefore, without any applied makeup, you are
always naturally enhanced.

Is it painful?
A topical anesthetic is applied prior and, if needed, during each procedure
to numb the epidermis and help ease any discomfort.  Every client is
different, some will feel vibrating or scratching, and some will feel
nothing at all.

Steps are taken to ensure the procedures are as comfortable as possible.
Although everyone's tolerance level is different, most clients agree
permanent make-up procedures are far more comfortable than anticipated.
Your comfort and safety are of the utmost importance.

How safe is it?
We must follow strict hygiene and sterilization procedures that conform to
OSHA and CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines.

Is this the same as a Tattoo?
Yes, both are permanent.  Some clients need to be "touched up" within 2-6
years.  Everyone is different.  Results will depend on age, skin tone, the
exfoliation process, over exposure to the sun, body chemistry and the degree
of care taken to maintain the procedure.

What is the recovery period?

Some clients may experience slight swelling or bruising and is usually not
noticeable.  Most can return to normal daily activities right away.

Is it expensive?
It is comparable to what most women spend on hair styling, hair color,
"perms" and normal maintenance.  Considering the "Permanent Makeup" lasts
for years before a "touch up" is needed, it is relatively inexpensive.

What colors should I choose?
There is a right color for everyone.  We take into consideration your
natural skin color, hair color and eye color.  A soft, natural color is
always preferred.  We will assist you in helping you choose the proper
color.

You will be scheduled for at least one follow-up visit to do any touch-up
work and to ensure your procedure meets your expectations.

How long does a procedure take?

There are many different procedures a permanent cosmetic technician can
provide.  The most frequently requested procedures are eyebrows, eyeliner
and lip color.  These procedures take between 1 -2 hours apiece.

Who can benefit from Permanent Cosmetics Procedures?
Individuals with....
* An active lifestyle
* Contact lenses
* Visual impairment
* Hay fever and watery eyes
* Little or no brow hair
* Alopecia (absence of hair)
* Sparse of light lashes
* Difficulty in makeup application
* Unsteady or arthritic hands

Common Areas of Treatment

Eyebrows
Anyone who desires fullness or definition to their eyebrows will benefit
from permanent eyebrows.  From a few strokes to fill small areas to total
brow recreation, our technician can give you the freedom of never using an
eyebrow pencil again.

Eyeliner
From a soft, natural-looking enhancement to a more defined line-the choice
is yours!  Permanent eyeliner can be applied in many styles and colors.
Whatever look you choose, you will wake up, shower, exercise, work, swim and
go to bed always looking your best.

Lips
Lipliner can be applied to give more definition, correct uneven lips, or add
fullness to the mouth. The procedure also helps prevent lipstick from
bleeding and can minimize the appearance of wrinkles.  Or forget the
lipstick altogether and add full lip color!

Full lip color can be applied in a natural hue or a more vivid one.  Wear it
alone or apply different shades of lipstick over your permanent lip color -
you will find that the color lasts all day.

Other Options
Permanent makeup has expanded to include other cosmetic or medical
applications such as:
* Camouflage to scars as a result of injuries or surgical procedures
such as face-lifts
* Beauty marks
* Areola restoration following breast reconstruction surgery
* Skin repigmentation to restore or enhance areas that have lost their
natural skin tones.
